DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 9th \nJeremiah 1:4-12 \nThe Prophet Is Called\n4 Then the word of the Lord came to me\, saying: \n\n5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;\nBefore you were born I sanctified you;\nI ordained you a prophet to the nations.” \n\n6 Then said I: \n\n“Ah\, Lord God!\nBehold\, I cannot speak\, for I am a youth.” \n\n7 But the Lord said to me: \n\n“Do not say\, ‘I am a youth\,’\nFor you shall go to all to whom I send you\,\nAnd whatever I command you\, you shall speak.\n8 Do not be afraid of their faces\,\nFor I am with you to deliver you\,” says the Lord. \n\n9 Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth\, and the Lord said to me: \n\n“Behold\, I have put My words in your mouth.\n10 See\, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms\,\nTo root out and to pull down\,\nTo destroy and to throw down\,\nTo build and to plant.” \n\n11 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me\, saying\, “Jeremiah\, what do you see?” \nAnd I said\, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” \n12 Then the Lord said to me\, “You have seen well\, for I am ready to perform My word.”
