DESCRIPTION:Friday 5th  \nIsaiah 60:1-22 \nThe Gentiles Bless Zion\n\n60 Arise\, shine;\nFor your light has come!\nAnd the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.\n2 For behold\, the darkness shall cover the earth\,\nAnd deep darkness the people;\nBut the Lord will arise over you\,\nAnd His glory will be seen upon you.\n3 The Gentiles shall come to your light\,\nAnd kings to the brightness of your rising. \n\n\n4 “Lift up your eyes all around\, and see:\nThey all gather together\, they come to you;\nYour sons shall come from afar\,\nAnd your daughters shall be nursed at your side.\n5 Then you shall see and become radiant\,\nAnd your heart shall swell with joy;\nBecause the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you\,\nThe wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.\n6 The multitude of camels shall cover your land\,\nThe dromedaries of Midian and Ephah;\nAll those from Sheba shall come;\nThey shall bring gold and incense\,\nAnd they shall proclaim the praises of the Lord.\n7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you\,\nThe rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you;\nThey shall ascend with acceptance on My altar\,\nAnd I will glorify the house of My glory. \n\n\n8 “Who are these who fly like a cloud\,\nAnd like doves to their roosts?\n9 Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me;\nAnd the ships of Tarshish will come first\,\nTo bring your sons from afar\,\nTheir silver and their gold with them\,\nTo the name of the Lord your God\,\nAnd to the Holy One of Israel\,\nBecause He has glorified you. \n\n\n10 “The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls\,\nAnd their kings shall minister to you;\nFor in My wrath I struck you\,\nBut in My favor I have had mercy on you.\n11 Therefore your gates shall be open continually;\nThey shall not be shut day or night\,\nThat men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles\,\nAnd their kings in procession.\n12 For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish\,\nAnd those nations shall be utterly ruined. \n\n\n13 “The glory of Lebanon shall come to you\,\nThe cypress\, the pine\, and the box tree together\,\nTo beautify the place of My sanctuary;\nAnd I will make the place of My feet glorious.\n14 Also the sons of those who afflicted you\nShall come bowing to you\,\nAnd all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet;\nAnd they shall call you The City of the Lord\,\nZion of the Holy One of Israel. \n\n\n15 “Whereas you have been forsaken and hated\,\nSo that no one went through you\,\nI will make you an eternal excellence\,\nA joy of many generations.\n16 You shall drink the milk of the Gentiles\,\nAnd milk the breast of kings;\nYou shall know that I\, the Lord\, am your Savior\nAnd your Redeemer\, the Mighty One of Jacob. \n\n\n17 “Instead of bronze I will bring gold\,\nInstead of iron I will bring silver\,\nInstead of wood\, bronze\,\nAnd instead of stones\, iron.\nI will also make your officers peace\,\nAnd your magistrates righteousness.\n18 Violence shall no longer be heard in your land\,\nNeither wasting nor destruction within your borders;\nBut you shall call your walls Salvation\,\nAnd your gates Praise. \n\nGod the Glory of His People\n\n19 “The sun shall no longer be your light by day\,\nNor for brightness shall the moon give light to you;\nBut the Lord will be to you an everlasting light\,\nAnd your God your glory.\n20 Your sun shall no longer go down\,\nNor shall your moon withdraw itself;\nFor the Lord will be your everlasting light\,\nAnd the days of your mourning shall be ended.\n21 Also your people shall all be righteous;\nThey shall inherit the land forever\,\nThe branch of My planting\,\nThe work of My hands\,\nThat I may be glorified.\n22 A little one shall become a thousand\,\nAnd a small one a strong nation.\nI\, the Lord\, will hasten it in its time.” \n\n
