DESCRIPTION:Thursday 11th \nIsaiah 54:1-17 \nA Perpetual Covenant of Peace\n\n54 “Sing\, O barren\,\nYou who have not borne!\nBreak forth into singing\, and cry aloud\,\nYou who have not labored with child!\nFor more are the children of the desolate\nThan the children of the married woman\,” says the Lord.\n2 “Enlarge the place of your tent\,\nAnd let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;\nDo not spare;\nLengthen your cords\,\nAnd strengthen your stakes.\n3 For you shall expand to the right and to the left\,\nAnd your descendants will inherit the nations\,\nAnd make the desolate cities inhabited. \n\n\n4 “Do not fear\, for you will not be ashamed;\nNeither be disgraced\, for you will not be put to shame;\nFor you will forget the shame of your youth\,\nAnd will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.\n5 For your Maker is your husband\,\nThe Lord of hosts is His name;\nAnd your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel;\nHe is called the God of the whole earth.\n6 For the Lord has called you\nLike a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit\,\nLike a youthful wife when you were refused\,”\nSays your God.\n7 “For a mere moment I have forsaken you\,\nBut with great mercies I will gather you.\n8 With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment;\nBut with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you\,”\nSays the Lord\, your Redeemer. \n\n\n9 “For this is like the waters of Noah to Me;\nFor as I have sworn\nThat the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth\,\nSo have I sworn\nThat I would not be angry with you\, nor rebuke you.\n10 For the mountains shall depart\nAnd the hills be removed\,\nBut My kindness shall not depart from you\,\nNor shall My covenant of peace be removed\,”\nSays the Lord\, who has mercy on you. \n\n\n11 “O you afflicted one\,\nTossed with tempest\, and not comforted\,\nBehold\, I will lay your stones with colorful gems\,\nAnd lay your foundations with sapphires.\n12 I will make your pinnacles of rubies\,\nYour gates of crystal\,\nAnd all your walls of precious stones.\n13 All your children shall be taught by the Lord\,\nAnd great shall be the peace of your children.\n14 In righteousness you shall be established;\nYou shall be far from oppression\, for you shall not fear;\nAnd from terror\, for it shall not come near you.\n15 Indeed they shall surely assemble\, but not because of Me.\nWhoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake. \n\n\n16 “Behold\, I have created the blacksmith\nWho blows the coals in the fire\,\nWho brings forth an instrument for his work;\nAnd I have created the spoiler to destroy.\n17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper\,\nAnd every tongue which rises against you in judgment\nYou shall condemn.\nThis is the heritage of the servants of the Lord\,\nAnd their righteousness is from Me\,”\nSays the Lord.
