DESCRIPTION:1 Who has believed our report?\nAnd to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?\n2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant\,\nAnd as a root out of dry ground.\nHe has no form or comeliness;\nAnd when we see Him\,\nThere is no beauty that we should desire Him.\n3 He is despised and rejected by men\,\nA Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.\nAnd we hid\, as it were\, our faces from Him;\nHe was despised\, and we did not esteem Him. \n\n\n4 Surely He has borne our griefs\nAnd carried our sorrows;\nYet we esteemed Him stricken\,\nSmitten by God\, and afflicted.\n5 But He was wounded for our transgressions\,\nHe was bruised for our iniquities;\nThe chastisement for our peace was upon Him\,\nAnd by His stripes we are healed.\n6 All we like sheep have gone astray;\nWe have turned\, every one\, to his own way;\nAnd the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. \n\n\n7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted\,\nYet He opened not His mouth;\nHe was led as a lamb to the slaughter\,\nAnd as a sheep before its shearers is silent\,\nSo He opened not His mouth.\n8 He was taken from prison and from judgment\,\nAnd who will declare His generation?\nFor He was cut off from the land of the living;\nFor the transgressions of My people He was stricken.\n9 And they[a] made His grave with the wicked—\nBut with the rich at His death\,\nBecause He had done no violence\,\nNor was any deceit in His mouth. \n\n\n10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;\nHe has put Him to grief.\nWhen You make His soul an offering for sin\,\nHe shall see His seed\, He shall prolong His days\,\nAnd the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.\n11 He shall see the labor of His soul\,[b] and be satisfied.\nBy His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many\,\nFor He shall bear their iniquities.
